Classic Saint-Estèphe with both ripe red fruit and firm, fleshy tannins fully absorbed. Solid and elegant, stylish and accessible. This dinner wine consists of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 34% merlot, 5% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. The grapes grow on vines with an average age of 35 years. Maturation takes place in barriques, 50% of which are new oak. The wine is in barrel for 12 to 15 months. Beau-Site is one of the châteaux of Borie-Manoux, the trading house that is still one of the few that is privately owned. Besides Beau-Site, a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, the Castja family also owns other houses including the Grand Cru's Batailley from Pauillac and Trotte-Vieille from St Emilion.
